One thing has helped lift my spirits: The Hunger Games. The book was suggested to me not because of the movie (which, btw, I have already made plans to pre-order tickets for), but because someone else who isn't to read thought I would like it. Oh, and do I ever.
Is it bad that I contemplated calling out of work this week so I could try to finish a book in one day? I don't think I've ever hated working more. If I were in college I'd just skip my class or call in sick. For some reason money isn't as important as finding out how a book ends to me. Someone needs to get her priorities in order.
Other weekday pick-me-uppers:
• Nice weather! It was nearly 70 degrees on Wednesday! You know what that means. . . I can wear my whore-ish clothes again :) Or not. Since it's still technically winter. But a girl can dream.
• A couple of friends who I haven't spoken to in a while actually reached out to me. Shout out to you if you know who you are ;)
• A new layout! Do ya like it? I'm going to go ahead and thank Courtney for doing it for me! I still have some small tweaks I want to make, that I'm too lazy to do right now but by Sunday we'll be good to go.
• Oh, and this:
How has your week been going? Did this cupcake photo help?
Yes, the cupcake photo helped out tons! I just ordered the hunger games after much resistance. Everytime I see the movie trailer I get excited because usually the book is a thousand times better than the movie. Hasn't the weather been amazing around here? And next week all 60s?! Yes, thank you.
ReplyDeleteI love this post! As for February, it truly was an annoying month. But all in all we made it! As for this early spring, oh yessss! The new layout.....feeling it and can't wait to see the final product.
ReplyDeleteI love your new layout. It looks awesome! Also, I love the Hunger Games as well. I can't wait to see the movie.
ReplyDeleteHoly crap, Nhya. I love your new layout! It's so much cleaner and neater. Not that your old layout was bad by any means. It was quite distinctive and I enjoyed it. But there's no doubt that this is much easier on the eyes.
ReplyDeleteI read The Hunger Games just after Christmas. I know people are calling them the 'new Twilight', but I feel they're so much better. Much darker, edgier...and I love novels about futuristic dystopian societies. I won't be seeing the movie, though. I'd hate for them to ruin the books for me (yeah, I'm one of those people).

ReplyDeleteThe new layout looks amazing!! The Hunger Games is like my favorite books series. EVER. Can't wait for the movie!
ReplyDeleteIf you have time, I could really use some advice about college. http://shelbychasingbirdies.blogspot.com/2012/03/college-on-brain.html

My detox was actually a juice fast. If you ever have the chance, watch Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead! Its a great documentary that will get you interested. I started Tuesday, and you saw my weight, Wed I went down to 127, now I am 123 lbs. All I did was drink freshly home made juice full of veggies and fruits. My work out right now isnt too tough because I want to shed all my fat, so I walk/run at least 6 miles a day. Thursday I walked & ran for 9 miles. 9 miles means I also have a lot of energy from this juice. You'd be surprised! But ill blog about it so keep updated!
ReplyDeleteBtw I CANNOT wait to see The Hunger Games when it comes out to theatre! Tickets are on sale nowwww!!

Aw, when I read the "credit card fraud" and other mishaps that happened I felt so bad! But it's amazing that you're so strong. And you're lethargy is shared by many. Especially me. I love being lazy. I was thinking of including it in my hobbies? haha. Anyway, the cupcake photo made me smile AND MY STOMACH GROWL. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope your April is amazing.

I just lost my man about three months ago though he is back again full of love and passion with the help of great man Dr. IKHIDE. I NORAH PEDRO from Norway, have been into a relationship with daniel mark since I was 22 years old and I am 28 now. I so much love him but I could not show the love, it was very difficult for me to prove my realness to him because I thought to prove my love to him might make him look down on me and go after other girls. for over six years Daniel has given me all that I ask of him. I always threatened him with break up each time I want to see his level of love for me because I was told if I threaten him, he will propose to me and then will get married to him before I can show my love despite his complains of him not sure of my love I was responding to him with negative words. though I was suspecting he has another girl in his life, I did not border to ask him about that because I was so sure of his love despite my attitude. on the 8th of September a day to my birthday he came and gave me so many lovely gifts like never before claiming to wish me a happy birthday in advance with his words and behavior I expected him to propose to me on my birthday night then I will also tell him of my pregnant for him. I wait for him on my birthday he did not show up not even a call, I tried his number and it was not going through I refuse to go check on him because the anger in me six days later I went to his house and I found nothing not even a sign of my Daniel once live there. I was disappointed, frustrated, confused with so many thoughts on my mind like hanging my self if I did not see him again because I can not my parent about the pregnancy when the man responsible for it had disappeared. our religion's against that, my family will be disappointed in me, I have brought them shame. I look for daniel everywhere till I could chat with him on social network, he warned me never to disturb him again because he already had found another girl that he wants to live his life with, after a while, he blocked me from all access then I could not tell him of my pregnancy for him. so, I needed help from all corners of life, I decide to check to google my self or read some write up on-site on how to coup with my pain because I could not tell anybody about it not even my friends were aware of my pregnancy. I keep reading to cancel my self till I find how Dr. IKHIDE helps so many persons from different walks of life with their testimonies. then I decide to also contact him with dr.ikhide@gmail.com. Because I do not know much about contacting a spell caster, I was not sure he can bring my Dan back but I decide to give him a try though his requirement was another problem I meet with a friend for help because I could not the items that he needed I have to plead with Dr. IKHIDE to help me get the items because really need my man back to take away my shame. just two days after I send him the requirement Daniel calls me, plead for forgiveness. just yesterday he propose to me and I am so happy. you can also contact him with email: - dr.ikhide@gmail.com or whatsapp :- +2349058825081
